These pages have been going around a lot lately. It;s from a story I wrote for Wonder Woman’s 75th Anniversary Special, and I am reblogging to make sure that the artist/co-creator, Colleen Doran, gets proper credit for making Star-Blossom so adorable! :)

Lan Yi actress Carman Lee posts some photos from CQL.
A few days ago, due to some reasons, I dug out my old mobile phone, and accidentally found a batch of old stills. I took it out, looked at it repeatedly, and went back to the year of filming in a daze. When I woke up in the morning, my little assistant came to tell me that today is the fourth anniversary of the broadcast of this show. It was a coincidence and so fast. Long time no see, Gusu Lanshi Lanyi.

Ok, I just received $60 from Kaiser because I paid for wound care visits that were supposed to be free. Those visits were over 3 years ago. But I had just reblogged a similar post :)

the idea of open borders really doesn’t seem radical at all to me. like, from having traveled in the eu and between scotland and england/northern ireland and the republic, i’ve seen that it can and does work. what seems extreme to me is letting people drown at sea, especially when it’s being done by the eu??
the eu having internal open borders but then having an extremely hard border around it is an act of racism. i don’t think i’m exaggerating by saying that, europeans are free to enter where african and asian refugees are forbidden

It’s hilarious to me when people complain about AO3 and its policies, and what they allow on the site - but it’s ESPECIALLY funny when people complain like “Why can’t the freaks make their own site and just go there?”
Sweetie… AO3 is the site for that. Y'all invaded our space.
Wattpad and FFN still exist. Go there. They’re as shitty and G-rated as you want. You can’t have the luxuries that AO3 offers if you’re gonna be a little bitch about its policies. Imagine walking into a strip club and complaining about the alcohol and naked ladies when there’s a god damn Dennys next door you could have gone to. Christ.
AO3 is the equivalent of someone with oppressive family who - after their bedroom was ransacked, phone stolen, computer hacked, half their contacts deleted, and personal property thrown into a bonfire by said family - moved out and got their own place.
Except the fact that they’re successful and have such a nice house they invite all their friends, who obey AO3′s house rules, to visit who means that all the unwelcome family members want to come over as well because the house is just so nice.
Except those relatives are just as unpleasant and entitled as before and start trying to enforce their own house rules despite the fact that said relatives don’t live there, don’t own the house, and have never been invited to live there and are only allowed inside because AO3 is better than they are.
“If you don’t like my rules then get out of my house.”
AO3 didn’t like the rules. AO3 left that house. AO3 got its own place and set its own rules. But then the asshole relatives followed them home and started pretending they owned the place as soon as they were let into a guest room.

Not being cringey won’t save you from genocide. The people killing us won’t suddenly stop if we all behave like “good upstanding citizens” and the quicker you realise this the quicker you’ll be able to make actual meaningful changes. So what if something a trans person did is “bad optics” we’re human beings who are flawed and still deserve rights not a product to be sold to our oppressors.

I think one of the reasons why Severus is so hard on Harry because he knows EXACTLY what kind of stupid shit is going through his teenage brain, and not because of legilimency, but because Severus was also a big dummy when it came to personal safety at that age.
Harry: incredibly nosey, cannot mind his own business, likes to solve mysteries that may or may not cause direct bodily harm.
Who else does that sound like?
If Teenage Snape – the boy who came up with a theory that Lupin was a werewolf and then went to the Shrieking Shack because Sirius Black of all people told him to – were to meet Harry, Sev would immediately be like “Oh, you’re hunting a basilisk? Count me in. We can try out this new spell I just invented.”
100% 💀
Want a reckless companion who is frantic to test his new spells?
Write to Severus Snape you will find him in the darkest and most hidden places in Hogwarts.

it’s kinda fucked up that bullying is treated like a “soft trauma” or not REALLY a serious kind of trauma/abuse just because the abusers are generally other kids, because it’s honestly so damaging. it stays with you. it fucks with your sense or self, your self-esteem, your ability to trust people and make meaningful relationships.
like yes those bullies ARE kids who generally don’t understand the consequences of their actions and i don’t doubt that most of them grow up not to be awful people but the damage they cause is real and people just………don’t take it seriously
some studies say bullying triggers the brain the same way childhood neglect does, except it leaves worse effects exactly because there’s just… no sympathy. because victims of bullying are shown time and again on media that their pain doesn’t matter, but the bully’s does (picture every single bully with a sob story behind their bullying, which is woefully inaccurate bc bullying comes from prejudice but lmao). literal children are told multiple times that it really must be their fault that that is happening to them. they learn that they’re not good enough to be treated as human, and, as aforementioned, most bullying comes from prejudice. it’s the autistic kids, the adhd kids, the lgbt kids, the kids of color, and all others whom society teaches us to hate. bullying is just laying ground for these children to think themselves subhuman. something that will be reinforced throughout their lives, time and again, even on media that seems to side with the bullied, because the bully is always absolved for something or another, as if the pain they caused didn’t matter.
It always gets on my nerves when the matter of kids bullying kids is swept under the carpet (no matter if it is in a real life or a fiction). Apparently as bullies are kids, and kids don’t know what they do, they don’t realise what effect their bullying has and they are just kids. See, they may indeed not understand that bullying has very long-term effects, but I don’t think they don’t understand that they are hurting someone at the very moment it they do or say things they wouldn’t like anyone else to tell them.
And the “help” for the victims? I think that my personal favourite is when a supposed authority figure takes it upon themselves to explain to the bullied kid how they’ve brought it all on themselves with their own behaviour (ie. ”you lack backbone”). Very helpful indeed, just like telling the victims to ignore the bullies (never helps; they only get more creative at getting attention) or poor attempts at comforting in a “they’re jealous of you” way. The worst part? From what I see nothing has changed for past 30 years.
Just thinking about this kid who bullied me in third grade. He kept stepping on the backs of my shoes and making my heels bleed from it and I got in trouble for turning around in line and yelling at him to stop stepping on me. Since teacher did nothing he just kept on doing it and making my socks bloody.
It physically hurt but even worse was knowing I was ignored and in trouble when I tried to get someone to stop hurting me, and yes, I told the teacher what he was doing. She just wanted me to be quiet.
